Key structural observations
- The five oaths set the reading in motion (1–5). Shakings, hearts and eyes lead to objections against return, then to the single cry bringing beings onto the plain (6–14).
- Moses receives the call in the sacred valley and the mission to Pharaoh (15–17). Purification, guidance and awe are offered; the great sign meets denial, disobedience, withdrawal and a claim to lordship (18–24). Allah seizes Pharaoh and offers the lesson to whoever fears (25–26).
- The question of human creation and heaven returns to divine power (27). Height, order, night and daylight, spread earth, water, pasture and mountains compose provision for humans and livestock (28–33).
- The Great Overwhelming opens remembrance of deeds and the Blaze made visible (34–36). Two ways of living receive two dwellings: transgression and preference for present life; fear of the Lord and restraint of the soul (37–41).
- The request for the Hour’s date is returned to the Lord, who possesses its term (42–44). The Prophet’s mission is to warn whoever fears it (45). Seeing it will make the past stay seem as brief as an evening or its morning (46).
