Surah 110

An-Naṣr

النصر

3 verses · Medinan

Key structural observations
  • The surah is structured to encircle victory before the ego can seize it: success arrives as appointment, not possession, and attribution is locked from the first word.
  • Its central sequence — tasbīḥ, ḥamd, istighfār — is not generic humility but an anti-ego protocol that strips hidden self-claim from the summit.
  • The surah therefore protects victory by redirecting it immediately from stage to miḥrāb, from expansion in the scene to poverty before Allah.
