Key structural observations
- The awaited proof receives a concrete definition: messenger from Allah, recitation, purified pages and upright writings (1–3).
- Taʾtiyahum and then jāʾathum move from awaited to accomplished arrival. The first wa-mā… illā places division after the proof (1, 4).
- The second wa-mā… illā recalls sincere worship, direction towards Allah alone, prayer and zakāt. Qayyimah joins yuqīmū and dīn al-qayyimah (3–5).
- The group described as disbelieving at the opening returns in the outcome of Fire. Two ulāʾika hum contrast sharr and khayr al-bariyyah, then two abiding dwellings answer one another (1, 6–8).
- Reward with the Lord unfolds gardens, rivers, duration and reciprocal pleasure. Li-man khashiya rabbah returns the collective portrait to personal responsibility (8).
