Key structural observations
- Noah’s sending precedes punishment; the messenger calls to worship, mindfulness and obedience, with forgiveness and respite until the appointed term (1–4). The possibility of return stands before time’s limit.
- Night and day, public calling and private speech unfold the messenger’s perseverance (5–9). Fingers, garments, persistence and pride form the refusal. The aim of forgiveness meets a covering that shuts out the call (7).
- Forgiveness opens a promise of rain, wealth, sons, gardens and rivers (10–12). The question of reverence leads to creation’s stages, heavens, lights and earth as a place of growth, return, resurrection and passage (13–20).
- Disobedience to Noah accompanies following another authority; wealth, plotting and defence of idols organise refusal (21–24). Four increases distinguish two observations and two supplications. The people’s sins precede drowning, Fire and absence of help (25).
- Three addresses to the Lord mark effort, observation and the request for judgement (5, 21, 26–27). The final prayer begins with forgiveness for Noah, then widens to parents, household and believers before requesting the wrongdoers’ ruin (28). The messenger enters the invitation he carried.
