Surah 107

Al-Māʿūn

الماعون

7 verses · Meccan

Key structural observations
  • The surah is structured by one law: the invisible unmasks the visible. Impressive religion is tested by the almost-costless act that reveals whether mercy is really present.
  • Its movement descends from public claim to low-cost indicator: pushing away the orphan, not even urging the feeding of the poor, then prayer emptied into display.
  • The surah's decisive criterion is the small service: what costs almost nothing exposes the truth of what looked spiritually significant.
