Key structural observations
- The surah is structured around a revaluation of height: what withers cannot truly elevate, so ascent is detached from what fades and tied to what is khayr wa abqā.
- Its movement builds an inner staircase (purification, remembrance, prayer) by which the soul rises through reduction, not accumulation.
- The surah therefore places all striving under the name Al-Aʿlā: only humility beneath the Most High rescues the heart from climbing summits that are already dying.
