Surah 082

Key structural observations
- The surah is structured as a demolition of stable appearances: the repeated idhā sequence tears open sky, stars, seas, and graves to show that what looked fixed was only temporarily covered.
- Its central interior warning is that favour can become a veil: divine generosity, bodily balance, and worldly continuity are misread as innocence when they should evoke reverence and accountability.
- The surah then reverses the meaning of silence itself: delay is not neglect but archive, since the kirāman kātibīn make hidden life a preserved record awaiting unveiling.
