The surah is structured as a recalibration cycle: divine orientation, covenantal alignment, request for guidance, then trajectory check.
Its compulsory repetition is not external to its meaning; it confirms that guidance here functions as a renewable signal rather than a stored possession.
The straight path is defined relationally, between three trajectories: bestowed favour, incurred anger, and going astray.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
